How long have you been in business?
Larsen Engineering has been in business since 1990. I have been a licensed Professional Engineer since 1972.
What is your primary product or service?
Structural engineering for wood-frame buildings.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I have been fascinated by building things since I was a child. I have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Princeton University and a master's in Structural Engineering from Stanford University. I have been a licensed Professional Engineer since 1972. I owned and operated a residential construction business for 12 years in the 1970's and 1980's.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I am a one-man firm. When you hire my firm your project does not get assigned to a junior engineer. You get the full attention of me and all my years of experience in engineering and construction.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I have one location in Sausalito.
Which areas do you service?
My primary area of service is Marin County, and I have also worked in San Francisco, Napa and Sonoma Counties, the East Bay and the Peninsula.

Weekdays 8:00 to 5:00, and weekends by appointment.
