How long have you been in business?
My name is Andreas Ade and I am the owner of The Ranch Salons that has been in business since 2005.
The first location, The Ranch of San Anselmo was devastated right after opening by the great 100 year flood on December 31, 2005. Even though everything in the front and the back was washed away and the inside had 4 feet of water, The Ranch of San Anselmo arose like Phoenix from its ashes and still remains.
The Ranch of Bon Air was opened in 2007.
The Ranch of Mill Valley was opened in 2011.
What is your primary product or service?
First class haircuts at an affordable price.
We also do men's grey hair coloring and beard trims.
We cut children of all ages and of course ladies hair too, but only haircuts.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Born into the business. My mother owned 3 salons back in Stockholm, Sweden. I went to Swedish hairdresser school, 2 years in school 1 year as an apprentice.
Served as as the barber for 15 months on board the Swedish military ship HMS Carlscrona and cut hair around the world. Now I own the The Ranch Salons.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We offer precision cuts for a reasonable price in a fun and comfortable environment .
Without the smells, drama and gossip....
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Currently operating 3 ocations.
