Singers Marin has been at the heart of the Marin musical scene for over 25 years with a range of great choruses for youth and adults. We have performed internationally and won awards at both national and international competitions.
Our founder and director, Jan Pedersen Schiff, is a Marin Women's Hall of Fame inductee and a Millie Award winner. She inspires singers to excellence while touching hearts and uplifting spirits.

What is your primary product or service?
High quality musical performances that result from providing a choral music education and community service opportunities for our youth and adult singing members, as well as national and international touring.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
As the Founder/ Artistic Director of Singers Marin, Jan Pedersen Schiff began singing with a chorus at the age of 5, and continued on through college. After completing her BA in music education, and then Masters in Conducting, she has been conducting choirs ever since!
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We provide outstanding vocal and musical training to both our youth and adult choirs, while sharing our music regularly with the larger community. Our mission is to touch the heart with beauty and uplift the spirit with joyful song.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Two - Mill Valley and Tiburon.
We are are also offering our youngest youth classes at the San Anselmor Recreation Center and the Canal Welcome Center in San Rafael

Our office is located at 1038 Redwood Hwy. (the frontage road of Hwy. 101, as it goes north from Tiburon Blvd). Some classes are offered at our office, while others at the Mt. Tamalpais Methodist Church in Mill Valley, (410 Sycamore Ave) and at the Community Congregational Church in Tiburon (145 Rock Hill Dr.)

Which areas do you service?
Our singers come from all of Marin and some from the East Bay and San Francisco.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
As a nonprofit performing arts organization, we are run by a Board of Directors. Jan Pedersen Schiff/Founder-Artistic Director, acts as the Executive Director with an administrative staff of 3 others, plus 3 additional choral instructors and two accompanists.
What are your hours of operation?
Office hours are 9:00 - 5:00 M-F
Rehearsals are held after school and in the evenings.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
In 2005, when the Pacific Sun's Best of Marin included the category of "Best Place for Singing Lessons", Singers Marin got that award! (They haven't had the category since!).
